Wow it's 2017

Wow it's 2017! I haven't written in a long time. I stay so busy that I never seem to have a moment to myself... tonight I do :) Not much has really changed since my last post. My head is still in the clouds. I'm still dreaming the days away lol. I am getting closer and closer to that tiny house. I actually sat down and worked out a floor plan to accommodate our life. There's a place for computers and the kids (my niece and nephew, still none here and that's ok) and Termite. It's absolutely perfect! Now comes the hardest part, finding all the things needed to build one i.e. the trailer, the wood, the MONEY. Haha! It'll all work itself out in the end. So my daring dreamers, what have you been dreaming? I could keep my head in the clouds day in and day out and never once mind it, but I suppose I should put my feet on the ground on occasion. Hmmm putting feet on ground.... nope, no way, not doing, I don't want to! Lol. I don't live in a dream world or anything, but I will always keep that childlike outlook and world of pretend. That's one of the reasons I love when my 9 yr old nephew comes over. Buckaroo and I get up to the most marvelous things. Sometimes we're cowboys, sometimes pirates, and some times we're a circus (complete with lions, bears, and monkeys)! Now I'm not sure what this head in the clouds lifestyle might mean for the future. I tell the kids that they are going to have one crazy old lady to chase after as I get older. I truly hope that through all my antics, they find the life lessons and affirmations I throw out at them. I hope these kids grow up to be just as amazing and awesome as they are right now and that they never lose that ability to see the world differently. I hope as you go through your life, you always look for the unexpected. Like is this an umbrella or a pirate sword? Is this a cardboard box or a rocket ship? Is this all my life is or is this only the beginning? I truly hope you see your lives as only the beginning of the next great adventure. When each adventure comes, hold on tight, and ride the wave of unexpected. Every day holds a chance, so while you are in the clouds, don't forget to soar!

Better Day

Well feeling much more myself now, only took 2 days lol. So how's everyone else doing? I saw that the lottery is getting quite the hefty jackpot. Now I don't usually play, but I might have to. I already know exactly what I'd do if I won. One thing for sure is buy myself a home and buy homes for some family. But something I think would be really great to do with that kind of money is to put an article in the paper asking people to nominate friends, family, or even strangers that have fallen on hard times and need help. I would do it just for the county I live in to begin with. I'd take a million dollars and help out the people that were nominated that needed it most. It could be something as simple as paying off a student loan or buying a used car to the more complex stuff like paying off home loans or paying for someone to go to college. How the world can change one person at a time

I decided yesterday after a long day of work that I didn't show the people I worked with how much I really appreciated them. So after a little thought I tapped on the office door of our HR person. I poked my head in and just told her how much I liked some flyers she had printed. The smile and the thank you I received told me she was glad to know her efforts weren't unnoticed. I walk away feeling pretty good. A trip to the grocery store led me to donate all the dollars I had on me to the empty stocking fund and then for a third "good deed" for the day....I offered a ride to a woman who had quite a few groceries and was riding a bike. She said it never fails someone offers a ride when I don't need one but when i do no one is to be found. I decided to make sure from now on to watch for her to make sure she did get a ride when she needed it. Are these giant leaps and bounds into saving the world? A decent saturday

All in all I've had a really nice day today. It was really great to get to spend the whole day with my hubby and enjoy each others company. I don't think I've laughed so much with him in awhile. It'a a good idea to take the time to reconnect and fuel that flame from the spark that brought two loners together. It's wonderful to have someone who is a compliment to your own personality. He keeps me level headed when I need it be because I spend alot of time in the clouds lol. And where sometimes I over think stuff searching for an answer he can step in look at the surface and give a simple applicable solution. Make it a point today and everyday to appreciate the one that loves you... the one that can say you are beautiful even when you are sick as a dog and feel like poo (i know he's lying but makes me feel better lol); the one who has been the reciever of your bad attitude when you have had a bad day; the one who, when the world is falling in around you, just hold...
